SoundTree grew out of one writer's passion, and the writers who kept showing up at her door.
Founder, SoundTree Publishing
Tomi did not set out to build a publishing house. She set out to tell her own stories, and she did, publishing her own books through the self-publishing route. But something kept happening: writers around her, friends, acquaintances, strangers online, kept finding their way to her door. They needed help with editing. With proofreading. With cover design. With figuring out where to even begin.
She helped them, because that is what she does. And somewhere in the middle of all that helping, she realised she had built something. Not just a service, but a calling.
There was also something else driving her: a conviction that young people who love to write deserve a real path to publication. Not someday, not when they are older. Now. SoundTree was built to be that path.
"Every writer who came to me had a real book inside them. They just needed someone to believe that, and to know what to do next."
Oluwatomi Fadoju, Founder
SoundTree is rooted in a Biblical concept of fruitfulness. A tree that is sound, healthy at its core and strong in its roots, will naturally produce good fruit. That image captures exactly what we believe about writers and their work.
When a writer is properly supported, editorially, creatively, and practically, good books follow. Our job is to be the soil, the structure, and the support. The fruit is yours.
